Userview is used as the front-end interface for the users to interact with the system. Userview acts as a wrapper for the processes, forms and lists designed in the application. Apart from all that have been mentioned, as the front-end interface builder, Userview Builder offers basic elements such as the HTML page element to represent static content as well.
It is still possible to develop an application without Userview by using the default's Run Process and Task Inbox found in the management console or if the application is intended to be integrated with an external application.
