Joget DX 8 Stable Released
The stable release for Joget DX 8 is now available, with a focus on UX and Governance.
Hi Matthew
I see... I am more worried about having different plug-in versions in different environments and the need to maintain both rather than updating primarily on test, moving it to the staging and then the prod environment with the same set of plugins.
If there is a basic failsafe that older plug-ins cannot override newer plug-ins than that should be a better solution.
It's good to hear that it can be done manually but it would be great if there was an option in Joget to pack the used plug-ins with the app.
Cheers!
Hi Eric
Correct, exported apps does not contain plugin .jar files. This is partly for security reason so as not to upload old or outdated plugins to your target Joget server.
Some apps on the Joget Marketplace has the required plugin embedded in for the app to function correctly by a first time user.
You can do this too, by using winzip or winrar to manually add in the plugin .jar files into your exported .jwa file.
Hey,
I might have missed it when I export apps but I noticed that:
However, some apps on the marketplace include the plug-ins they demonstrate.
It would be great to be able to do that (maybe just a tickbox option when exporting apps) with our developed apps as well.
Is this already on the roadmap / am I missing something?
Cheers,
Eric
