I did the following:
  • user A is mapped to a participant in workflow
  • user A put in process start whitelist
  • user A fills out and submits the form that is mapped as "Run Process" form in "map forms to activities" tab

is there anythig else that needs to be done to get a process start by the user filling out the form in the userview? Because I cannot seem to start a process by submitting the form, it only starts through "run process" button by admin

You just need to do one more thing. Add a Run Process menu item in the userview and make sure your User A has permission on it.

When User A would open this Run Process element, the form that you mapped with the Start Activity of the Process would open and the process would start when this form is submitted.

      Hope this helps.

      Thanks

thanks very much. I didn't notice there was a separate run process item (separate from a regular form) in userview builder.

Note: Name of run process item can be used for redirection, so you can create your own list and call run process from there with request parameters.

      Hi Ufuk Yilmaz

You can learn from 70+ free apps and plugins from Joget Marketplace for all kinds of uses.

For each app you download, you can view how it was build (on forms, list, userview, process) and how it runs. You can even modify the apps to suit your needs. Nothing is locked or hidden and there is no copyright. Happy Jogeting (smile)
