how i use data from database to process by primary key

i use a numeric value in my route on my process. i want to use a variable to call a numeric by database

      If I understand correctly, you want to load a value from a database query to a workflow variable. It is right? If so, then what I think is easier is to enable before the route element a tool with a beanshell code that executes the query and loads the value of the variable there. Would that be the solution? Please confirm or give more detail to develop an example.
