Joget DX 8 Stable Released
The stable release for Joget DX 8 is now available, with a focus on UX and Governance.
I don't fully understand the question, but hidden fields are useful for providing key-type fields or fields that reflect process states, but which in no case should be seen or manipulated by the user.

Typically, I use it to set "Status" so that in the Datalist, I can filter the data display according to the "Status" that is selected. E.g. New, Pending, Expired, etc.
