Hi, I'm using Cloud.Joget.com v4.

This email configuration is driving me crazy, because I tested it with SSL and without it, with System role in my process workflow and without it, and with activity for automation inside a regular role and this activity inside a System role, and... in all cases no email reached my inbox. (Or other tested participants and emails).

This is the SMTP information I've been using:

Server: smtpout.secureserver.net

Port: 25 (Non SSL) and 465 (SSL)

Server requiere auth: checked on.

User: no-reply@mydomain.com (this is an existent email account in my email provider)

And my password.

Just to sum up, this configuration is 100% correct and this works in my Android device, similar to my other device and email accounts... so, IDK what I'm doing wrong.

Please help!

Kind regards.

  1. If the email setting is correct, then you will probably want to look at your process design. Maybe should check the process to see if the email tool is triggered? Thanks.

    1. I think those activities are triggered, see attached file. What else coud be wrong and what to see (maybe other log in the cloud service idk).

      Regards.

  2. Would you like to try this free email troubleshoot app at the market place to verify and troubleshoot the email setup.

    http://marketplace.joget.org/contributed/email-troubleshooting-app.html

    Cheers.

  3. wow great simple App... how I didn't see it before.

    This is what I get:

    Validation Error

    javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: smtpout.secureserver.net, port: 80, response: 554 at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.openServer(SMTPTransport.java:1379) at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.protocolConnect(SMTPTransport.java:412) at javax.mail.Service.connect(Service.java:310) at javax.mail.Service.connect(Service.java:169) at javax.mail.Service.connect(Service.java:118) at javax.mail.Transport.send0(Transport.java:188) at javax.mail.Transport.send(Transport.java:118)

Now I or Cloud.Joget.com need solve that issue about response 554.

How to procede do cloud.joget.com has any kind of email for support/web/or something?

    Best regards.

    TY!

  4. Hi there, I just talked with my email provider www.godaddy.com and they told me the problem is not on their side, so please cloud.joget.com give me response or let me know how to contact you directly... because I need keep constructing my apps. Regards.

  5. Can I suggest you try an alternative email server? Try to use Gmail SMTP:

This way you can narrow down to see if the problem is with GoDaddy or not.

    Thanks.

    1. Great suggestion, it worked perfectly. Thank you a lot!

  6. Hi Francisco,

We've been using Gmail SMTP port 465 SSL or 587 TLS successfully all the while, and we've verified that the servers are not in any blacklists

    http://www.spamhaus.org/lookup/ http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx

but it looks like GoDaddy might somehow still be blocking the connection based on the telnet response we tested:

    telnet smtpout.secureserver.net 80

    Trying 173.201.192.101...

    Connected to smtpout.where.secureserver.net.

    Escape character is '^]'.

554 p3plsmtpa06-02.prod.phx3.secureserver.net  ESMTP No Relay Access Allowed From x.x.x.x

    Connection closed by foreign host.

Hope this helps you when engaging with GoDaddy. In the meantime you might want to consider using Gmail for SMTP.

    Thanks.

    1. Thanks a lot too!

Very good information as evidence that they are blocking your IP for some unkown reason. but unfortunately they don't want to help at this level. They just say "your email is working in the devices you have with no problem, and everywhere you go. And maybe that company should contact us in order to solve this". I think they want your money!
