Joget DX 8 Stable Released
The stable release for Joget DX 8 is now available, with a focus on UX and Governance.
Hi there,
I added validators to one of my forms, and upon testing it by entering data, several fields that did not have validators complained that there was no data present.
I quickly found the problem: these fields that complained (while having no validation on them) had duplicate ID's with fields that did have validators. I am not sure how the duplicate IDs were generated, since I dragged and dropped all fields to my form.
Regardless, the form-builder should definitely provide a warning to the developer that there exists fields on the form that share IDs, and that this may cause a problem, for example with validators.
Just another general inquiry too: is there a proper place we can make feature suggestions to Joget? As I have been using Joget and the form-builder, I've come across several things that could be a little bit different that would aid development and make the whole system a lot easier to use.
Thanks,
Troy

Hi Troy,
Thanks for pointing out the duplicate IDs.
If you have an account in the Enterprise Support site then you can create a new feature request there. You're also welcome to make suggestions here in the community forums :)
Best Regards
Julian
