How can one automatically run an activity on new item from a datalist?

Hello all, hoping someone will be able to assist with what I am trying to achieve.

I have a datalist connection to a SQL table where information is populated from another application.  I have set up a connection to import this into Joget, but I would like to automatically run a process every time a new item enters the list. 

Sample scenario is that I setup a SQL list of orders.  Someone enters an order using our ERP.  The datalist should pick up an extra entry, and then run an email notification process.  Is this something that Joget would support and would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?
