Joget DX 8 Stable Released
The stable release for Joget DX 8 is now available, with a focus on UX and Governance.
Thank you Matthew King, I found it and managed to use a CSV file to import some test data into some drop-down fields.
My next question is how can I then apply grouping to this so that, based on the value of one drop-down, the next drop-down only shows certain options?
I know how to do this if you add the drop-down values manually and just use the grouping field, but as the data came from a CSV file how can it be grouped?
Hope that makes sense.
Regards.
Once the csv data is imported, they are stored as normal form data in Joget. Then, you can use Dynamic Cascading Drop-Down List
Go to Userview Builder and drag the Import Menu into the center box. Then click on it to configure. You need to create a form with the same columns as your .csv file.
Try the demonstration app for import menu in Import Menu . You can learn by running the app and examining the import menu properties in the app
Hello Matthew King , I read that article, but it doesn't explain, unless I missed it, how to get to this Import Menu feature?
Any help is much appreciated.
You can use the Import Menu to import the csv data into a DB table/form and use this form for the select box option menu.
Hello.
When creating forms, for the drop-down field, how can you bulk add choices?
Also, is it possible to bulk add choices from a CSV file?
If so, how is this done? All my research points to something called 'Import Tool' but I cannot find it on my Joget version and the instructions on the articles for how to use it don't explain how to find it either.
Is this a Joget Enterprise only feature?
Regards.
