Critical Issue with "Version" Button in Joget DX 8.1.7 (Without GIT Integration)

Dear valued Joget Users,

We would like to bring to your attention a critical issue identified in Joget DX 8.1.7. When Joget is run without GIT integration and there are no related files in the app_src folder, clicking the "Version" button in the App Composer can result in the unintended deletion of the app from the app_app table, along with all child database tables.

Affected Elements:

  • App and all its entities under it i.e.
    • Form
    • Process
    • List
    • UI

Important Note: This issue only occurs with all the following conditions below fullfilled:-

  1. GIT is disabled (In JAVA OPTS, the flag -Dgit.disabled=true). By default, the GIT is enabled.
  2. with no files present in the wflow/app_src/[APP_ID]/[APP_VERSION] folder.

Our development team has investigated the issue and is working on a fix. We strongly recommend users ensure that GIT is enabled and/or properly configured in their environment or refrain from using the "Version" button under the aforementioned conditions until the issue is resolved.

We appreciate your continued support and understanding as we address this bug. A solution will be made available in an upcoming release.

Known Issue with Clustering Environment in Joget DX 8.0.7

Dear valued Joget DX users,

We would like to bring to your attention a known issue that has been identified in Joget DX 8.0.7 onwards. The new "Sanitize Input Value?" property options that are available in Form elements such as Text Field, Text Area, and Custom HTML have been set to be enabled by default. This feature ensures that the input values undergo sanitization before storage in the database and also reverses any escaping during data retrieval to prevent double escaping, thus mitigating HTML injection vulnerabilities. In particular scenarios, challenges may arise when employing specific languages, resulting in the input value being retrieved as unreadable.

Our development team is actively exploring the underlying cause of this issue and working towards implementing a more effective solution.

Thank you for your continued trust in Joget. We appreciate your understanding and assure you that we are committed to providing you with the highest quality of service.
