Thanks for your reply, Owen !
i am tuning the Import Search Filter and the reading is much faster...
...to be continued...
Hi Fred, We are running into similar issues as you described. We have 30,000+ users. Can you share how you are tuning the Import Search Filter? We want to allow any user in our company to be able to log into Joget. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Fred,
All the available options are shown in the LDAP Directory Manager configure page. The LDAP Directory Manager does not sync the user data to local database. It will read directly from the LDAP server when user data is needed.
There are a few customers have Joget Workflow integrated with large LDAP directory but I am not allow to mention it without permission. You can send an email to info[@]joget.org to check with our sales team.
For custom plugin development, you can check with our sales team as well. Thanks.
Best regards.
One more question : did some companies use Joget with the LDAP Directory Manager to integrate their "big" Ldap directory (more than 10,000 users) ?
Is it possible to integrate users in the LDAP Directory Manager with a batch job ?
Ok Owen,
Are there some tunings to accelerate the LDAP Directory Manager plugin when it is scanning the LDAP server (as a LDAP Browser does) ? Are the LDAP users registered in the SGBD ?
On the other hand, would your company develop a kind of LDAP connector which could be called in a form ?
My society would be very insterested to get it.
Thanks
Hi Fred,
There is only one LDAP Directory Manager plugin currently.
Can you explain what you mean by "get dynamically one user attributes only"? To get an user attribute, it need to found the user first. So, I think you just need to configure the "User Base DN" and "User Import Search Filter" correctly then it will be faster. You can turn on the debug mode of the LDAP Directory Manager plugin to check what it is done behind the screen.
Alternative way is you develop a custom Directory Manager plugin to sync the LDAP user to local database instead of using the LDAP Directory Manager plugin which will read directly from LDAP server.
Best regards.
Hi Owen,
thanks for your reply.
Our LDAP is toot big (about 10,000 users).
Otherwise, does a single connector already exist in joget allowing to get dynamicaly one user attributes only ?
(free or charged)
Hi Fred,
Yes, you should use the Import Search Filter query to helps the LDAP Directory Manager to find your users more accurately. Else, it will search through LDAP server start from Root DN to find users until every nodes in your LDAP server are reached. For sure it will take very long and use more resources in this case.
Hi,
when using the LDAP Directory Manager Plugin integration, i have to reduce the research of users with the "User Import Search Filter".
if i don't, the research takes a very long time (i can't wait the end of the research) and tomcat is very slow, nearly freezed...
i use the free v4 entreprise linux bundle for testing.
Thanks for your reply,
Fred
